Like many community libraries, the Mt. Lebanon Public Library faced a funding shortfall as a result of government cuts and changes in funding structures. Taking a proactive approach, the Library’s Board of Directors contracted with Maureen Mahoney Hill to conduct an audit of the current fundraising program at the Library and use the study results as the basis for a three-year plan to close the funding gap, stabilize funding over the long-term and build the Library’s fundraising capacity to ensure stability and sustainability for this vital community resource.
